Dan Tan is principal of Dan Tan Law, a boutique law firm based in New York, San Francisco, and Singapore. The firm has been repeatedly ranked amongst the top 100 of all arbitration practices in the world. Dan acts as counsel in arbitrations under various institutional rules seated in major arbitration venues and has also sat as arbitrator in more than 40 international arbitrations (ICC, AAA/ICDR, HKIAC, and SIAC). He is admitted to practice in New York, California, District of Columbia, England & Wales, and Singapore and frequently appears in the courts in international litigation cases.

Dan is Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School (teaching international arbitration for the past 17 years) and Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School (teaching international arbitration and international investment law for the past 8 years). He was previously Lecturer in Law at Oxford University (teaching contract law).

He has an associate tenant at 36 Group, a commercial barristers’ set in London.
