Joon Liang is a partner of Gan Partnership practicing out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is a Fellow of the CIArb UK, Fellow of the HKIArb and a Fellow of the SIArb. He was the past-Chairman of the CIArb Malaysia branch.

Joon Liang is a Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, a Member of the ICC Malaysia Arbitration Committee, a member of the Master Builders Association Malaysia, Contracts and Practices Committee, and a Panel Adjudicator, Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center.

He regularly appears as counsel and sits as arbitrator and adjudicator, and is listed by Chambers and Partners Asia Pacific, Benchmark Litigation and Who’s Who Legal as a leading practitioner in the construction space.
