Geraldine Fischer

Geraldine Fischer has worked as an attorney at the World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) for over ten years where she serves as the Tribunal Secretary on dozens of cases, conducted in English and Spanish, under the ICSID Convention, the ICSID Additional Facility Rules, UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and ad hoc arbitration rules. Before joining ICSID, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for International Law at the National University of Singapore, focusing on ASEAN investment issues. Prior to moving to Singapore, Geraldine worked in international law firms representing investors and States in investment arbitrations and before U.S. courts.  Geraldine started her career in the U.S. government negotiating free trade agreements and bilateral investment treaties. Geraldine has an LL.M. (Asian Legal Studies) from the National University of Singapore, a J.D. from American University, and a B.A. in Economics, International Relations, and Spanish from Tufts University.
