Kurniawan is a co-founder and Managing Partner of SHIFT, who has extensive knowledge and experience in corporate and commercial areas as well as banking and finance areas. Prior to setting up SHIFT, Kurniawan was a Senior Partner at a prominent law firm and led the Banking & Finance department for about eight years. He has served a wide range of domestic and international clients in various matters, including financing deals, project finance, M&A, investment, debt restructurings, TMT deals, data protection and capital market transactions, establishing himself as a trustworthy and meticulous lawyer. Kurniawan’s achievements have been recognized through a number of awards, including being named as Leading/Highly-Regarded Lawyer in Banking and Finance, Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets and being recognized in the 2018 A-list as one of the top 100 lawyers in Indonesia. Kurniawan also served as a JCM for Indonesia from 2020 to 2023.
