Michael Cartier is a disputes partner at Walder Wyss in Zurich, Switzerland. He represents parties in international arbitrations, navigating major institutional rules and ad-hoc proceedings before state courts and in enforcement matters. He also acts as arbitrator and is listed on panels such as the ICC National Committee (Switzerland), KCAB International, AIAC, and DIAC. He is also admitted as a foreign lawyer to the Singapore International Commercial Court.

Michael’s work focuses on construction disputes, international commercial law, and M&A disputes. He has substantial experience in energy-related matters, such as solar cell manufacturing, wind turbine engineering, power plants, gas delivery, and radioactive waste disposal. Aside from technical matters, recent work has included reviewing the dispute mechanisms of an international song contest.

Passionate about technology, Michael co-developed ExhibitManager, a software for arbitration and litigation practitioners.
