Chicago Downtown Loop Tour
Chicago was named the Best Big City in the US for the 8th year in a row by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine readers. This is your chance to stroll the vibrant downtown “Loop” neighborhood, learn about Chicago’s history, visit Millennium Park and view “Cloud Gate” aka “The Bean,” step back in time exploring the interior of the Chicago Cultural Center. End your journey cruising on the Chicago Water Taxi on the Chicago River.
This tour requires walking moderate distances on busy city streets, sidewalks and in public spaces using stairs. Also, entering and exiting public transportation and a water vessel on the Chicago River. There are no special accommodations available.
Tour Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2025
Tour Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Cost: $40 per participant (payable in advance by Zelle)
Meeting Place: 9:15 am at the Marriott Marquis Chicago Lobby (event hotel)
Transportation: Walk to CTA bus or “L”, depending on transit schedules to downtown. The walking tour will take approximately one hour ending at the Chicago River to board the Chicago Water Taxi which will travel to Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chinatown. Guests will walk from the park to take a bus or walk back to the Marriott Marquis. All transportation costs are included in the tour price.
Maximum number of participants: Ten (10) The first ten requests received via email to sharynem2@gmail.com will be honored.

Sharyne Moy Tu, your tour guide, has many years of experience in Chicago’s tourism and hospitality industries. She has led tours with visitors from across the globe as a Choose Chicago Greeter and Ambassador and serves as a concierge at the Chicago Visitor Information Center. Private tours of Chinatown and/or the Loop are available upon request and availability.
