Ricky Aringo Sabornay is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Registered Foreign Attorney at Uryu & Itoga Law Office qualified to practice Philippine and English law in Japan.
His practice focuses on cross-border commercial transactions and international commercial arbitration, and more recently international private wealth.

In 2023, he was selected as one of Young Lawyer scholars of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association in recognition of his active involvement in the legal profession, his dedication to cross-border practice, and commitment to professional development.

In the same year, he pursued advanced legal studies in International Commercial Arbitration at the Arbitration Lab, and Corporate Finance Law at the London School of Economics in London before spending the next six months training with Mishcon de Reya and Weightmans.

Ricky regularly writes for the Japan Commercial Arbitration Journal, Teikoku News, and his own newsletter the Philippine Law Digest.
