Rainer is a senior M&A and corporate partner in the Munich office of Gleiss Lutz, one of the leading independent firms in Germany. His practice focuses on international and multi-jurisdictional transactions where he often represents international buyers of German target companies. Rainer is recognized as one of the leading German experts in corporate/M&A by JUVE, Chambers Global, and Who’s Who Legal Germany.

Rainer holds a doctorate from Göttingen University and an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge and has practiced as a foreign attorney in Washington D.C. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany. He has spoken at numerous seminar programs and expert panels regarding M&A transactions. Rainer was the managing partner of Gleiss Lutz from 2008 to 2015.
